sturdy, great price, wood is durable
bought this at a local kmart. box was in pristine condition so i know there would not be any broken or damaged pieces, always check when buying furniture. box is heavy, but items were well packed. checked for each item before assembly was all there. building it was easy, just very repetitive. took about 2 hours. total of 6 drawers of equal size, the top drawers look like 4 small drawers but it's just actually the same sized drawers as the ones below. i can sit on the top of the dresser and it holds my weight fine, about 220lbs. drawers glide smoothly on the rails. for the price it was great compared to ones at ikea that were not of similar size. durable and should last awhile IF YOUR DRAWERS ARE NOT LINING UP YOUR LEFT AND RIGHT SIDE DRAWERS ARE SWITCHED

Buyer Beware
I would not recommend anyone purchasing The Essential Home Grayson 6 Drawer Chest. I made the Purchase in 2016 after reading glowing reviews about this Item. I received my Purchase with a indentation and deep Scratches. When I assembled the Dresser with assistance from a Family Member the Interior of the Dresser and the Back is Thin Cardboard. The Exterior is decent but why not have stronger Material for holding Clothes. Also, there is spacing with the Top of the Draws and you can only put a limited amount of Clothing in the Chest, otherwise the Clothes will fall through due to the Cardboard. I immediately contacted Sears Customer Service and The Company who had the Audacity to sell this to the Public. I was not satisfied with the response and image trying to send this Item back, Not Possible!!! Again, Poorly Manufactured Product and do not believe the Reviews that this is a good Dresser, save your Money and purchase a good Quality Dresser. I am stuck with this Nightmare, Buyer Beware!!!!

Ordered matching 5 drawer dresser love that this had many parts. Broken. And instructions were. Backwards able to get together with glue not. Happy

Arrived damaged with no fix

This product came to me in extreme damage to the top of the dresser. I asked for a replacement part and was told they couldn't do anything. It's also pretty horrible quality. I would never buy this. It will probably end up in the trash.

I had ordered this chest online.when I received it the top piece of the chest was damaged maybe in shipping.i didn't want to return it because it was so heavy and more painful to get it down through upstairs.so i called the customer service they sent me the piece of the top.after 10days I received that.this is very heavy chest.i hope it will last longer.amazing costomer service

OK, other people complained about this and I can understand why. The instructions are somewhat misleading. The drawer slides are mislabeled for the center support. The right and left slides should be reversed. The picture is drawn right but the instructions are not. Probably poor quality control from China. Take your time when assembling this and you'll be OK. I did get this on sale with a deep discount for all the points I racked up. I would have given it 5 stars had it not had problems in the instructions. The box is heavy and you'll need help loading and unloading. Good luck on getting a Kmart employee to help you. Another reason for a loss of a star. It is particle board but the cherry finish does look nice.
